Meet the members of our team. Each member is a fully trained Ambulance Service First Responder. Each responder must also undergo requalification every six months.
James joined the Team in January 2008 and was one of the first trained. He has an extensive healthcare background, and has worked in most areas and specialities. He is responsible for organising training, rotas, recruitment, fundraising, and publicity.As well as co-ordinating the WVCFR Team, he is also employed at the local hospice (Manorlands Hospice), where he works in the Support Services Department.
James sadly passed away in January 2009, The Team are endeavouring to keep up the good work that James had started.
Peter also joined the team in January 2008, although he was instrumental in the inception of WVCFR. Peter got the initial funding, arranged the initial training and was involved since the idea was born in 2004.
Peter is also a Parish Councillor with Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury, as well as a District Councillor with City of Bradford Metropolitan Council

Michael has been a First Responder since July 2008. He was a volunteer for Keighley’s Porject 6 and a Care Officer for Social Services before becoming an Adoption Support Worker and Foster Carer.Michael has taken over the role as Team Co-ordinator to contact Michael please click Here


Denise has been a First Responder since July 2008. She is an Operations Director for Carr-Gomm http://www.carr-gomm.org.uk/ a Charity and RSL who provide support and housing for individuals and families who have a diverse range of support needs. Denise is also a Foster Carer and Adoption Support Worker.
Over the last fifteen years john has been responsible for the training and compliance of Health & Safety and Quality of many successful multi- site franchise businesses. He holds a Nebosh qualification and is a qualified QMS auditor. John has been involved with several Government projects within the field of Transport and logistics and has travelled extensively throughout the UK.
John is a qualified City and Guilds Trainer; he has worked with both children and adults in his role as a British Canoe Union Coach and as a Swift Water Rescue Technician he can often be seen on the river, providing safety cover at events.
John is currently studying to gain his teaching diploma.
